About this project

Charlotte Simonsen is a local (to Portsmouth) graphic designer & content creator extraordinare. We’ve collaborated on a number of projects, and I was extremely excited to be asked to be involved in this unique project. In 2020 she launched a tarot deck called the The Gold Star, which reached it’s Kickstarter goal within 24 hours, and exceeded it by quite a lot!

Now she’s launching the same deck but in a beautiful, bright white version. To coincide with the Kickstarter, she got me involved with the development of the interactive Tarot deck. The majority of development was done by the talented Ryan Thickett, and I was brought on board to add any accessibility features, improve performance and fully test the code.

The homepage – the basics of Tarot are that you should ask the deck a question before you draw a card. The meaning of the card should then give you some answers.
